JAKARTA - The Palmerah Police held a random urine check on their staff at the Palmerah Police Station, West Jakarta. Urine checks are carried out to prevent drug abuse against members of the Palmerah Police.

Palmerah Police Chief AKP Dodi Abdul Rohim said today as many as 18 Palmerah Police personnel underwent a sudden urine test.

The police chief said this activity was a manifestation of the Palmerah Police's commitment to fighting drugs and ensuring that members were free from drug abuse.

"We did this urine check on an impromptu basis. As a result, 18 members of the personnel, including officers, non-commissioned officers and national police officers, came back negative," he said.
