West Java Police Receives Overflow Of Bahar Smith's Hate Statements To The State Office, Related To KSAD Dudung?

JAKARTA - The West Java Police (West Java) has received a new case report from the Metro Jaya Police regarding Bahar Smith (BS) who is suspected of conveying hate speech against state officials.

The Head of Public Relations of the West Java Police, Kombes Ibrahim Tompo, said that the case file was transferred due to juridical considerations. The reason is that the location of the incident is suspected to be in the West Java area.

"Brother HS, who reported the alleged crime of uttering hate speech against state officials, was allegedly carried out by brother BS, who is currently in detention by West Java Regional Police investigators," said Ibrahim in Bandung, West Java, Antara, Thursday, January 6.

Ibrahim explained that the police report numbered LP/B/6146/XII/2021/SPKT Polda Metro Jaya. The report was submitted to the Polda Metro Jaya on December 7, 2021.

However, the police have not yet explained the narrative of Bahar's hate speech in the report. So far, it is suspected that the state official in question is the Army Chief of Staff (KSAD) General Dudung Abdurachman.

From the delegation, the West Java Police also received a number of evidences in the form of a flash disk unit, BAP files from the reporting witness, and BAP from five expert witnesses.

Ibrahim ensured that his party would continue with the investigation stage, in order to fulfill the evidence according to the alleged article in the police report.

"That is, at least two pieces of evidence as referred to in Article 184 are procedural, professional, transparent and accountable," he also said.
