JAKARTA - CP (55), a cart-pulling worker, was arrested by the police because he was caught molesting a minor. The heinous act was carried out by the perpetrators in the Besi Bridge area, Tambora, West Jakarta.

"The perpetrator who works as a pushcart lured the victim by giving him Rp. 30 thousand rupiah," said Tambora police chief Kompol Moh Faruk Rozi when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, January 5.

Perpetrators have committed lewd acts five times against the victim. This depraved act was revealed after the victim told his parents.

"In front of her parents, the victim admitted to having been molested by the perpetrator," said the police chief.

The obscenity incident began on Sunday, December 2nd. The incident only became known after the victim's parents heard the child's complaint. The victim's parents then looked for the perpetrator, but instead of feeling guilty, the perpetrator said he would take responsibility and marry the victim's 5-year-old son.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Tambora Police, AKP Yugo Pambudi, explained that the perpetrator admitted that he liked the victim. "In front of the investigators, they reasoned that they liked and loved the victim," he said.

In order to be held accountable for their actions, the perpetrators are subject to Article 82 Jo 76 E of the Republic of Indonesia Law No. 35 of 2014 concerning Amendments to Law 23 of 2002 concerning Child Protection.
