Schools In 24 Regions In East Java Hold 100 Percent Face-to-face Learning, The Remaining 14 Regions Are Still Limited

SURABAYA - A total of 24 out of 38 regencies/cities in East Java, have held 100 percent Face-to-face Learning (PTM) activities. While the remaining 14 regions continue to hold PTM, but not 100 percent or limited.

"This policy is in accordance with the criteria for requirements that have been set by PTM 100 percent according to the latest four ministerial decrees, that all high school/vocational and special education units at levels 1, 2, and 3 are required to hold PTM starting in January 2022," said the Governor of East Java, Khofifah Indar Parawansa, in Surabaya, Wednesday, January 5.

The 24 regions that held the 100 percent PTM, namely the City of Surabaya, Kediri, Mojokerto City, Blitar City, Malang City, Madiun City, Batu City, Probolinggo City. Then Sidoarjo Regency, Mojokerto Regency, Lamongan Regency, Jombang Regency, Malang Regency, Gresik Regency, Magetan Regency, Pacitan Regency and Banyuwangi Regency.

Trenggalek Regency, Madiun Regency, Bojonegoro Regency, Tulungagung Regency, and Kediri Regency. The number of students who enter every day must be 100 percent of the capacity of the classroom, and the length of study is a maximum of six hours of lessons per day with a break of 15 minutes.

"So, for Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) areas at level 1 and 2, namely the first category, they can hold 100 percent PTM. The condition is that the achievement of the second dose of vaccination in schools with teachers and education personnel (GTK) is above 80 percent, and the elderly community is above 50 percent," she said.

While the remaining 14 regions are still allowed to carry out limited PTM, namely Ponorogo, Bondowoso, Situbondo, Jember, Bangkalan, Sampang, Sumenep, Pamekasan, Tuban, Probolinggo, Ngawi, Pasuruan, Nganjuk, and Lumajang.

"In this area, students enter every day in turns (shifts) with the number of students being 50 percent of the classroom capacity, and the maximum length of study is four hours of lessons per day with 15 minutes of rest time. Thank God, starting last Monday, 100 percent of education units SMA/SMK/SLB levels in East Java have implemented PTM," she said.
