29 Personnel Of The Pariaman Police In West Sumatra Positive For COVID-19

PADANG - Dozens of police in Pariaman, West Sumatra (West Sumatra) have been confirmed positive for COVID-19. As of today, 29 Pariaman Police personnel have tested positive for COVID-19 after undergoing a swab test.

"2 yesterday were positive, adding 27 more means a total of 29 for personnel today," said Kapolres Pariaman AKBP Deny Rendra Laksmana when confirmed, Tuesday, August 25.

Deny said the results were obtained after the members had undergone a swab test since Friday, August 21. Currently, Pariaman Police is still waiting for the results of the swab test for 50 of the nearly 300 personnel who took the swab test since Friday.

He said the swab test was also carried out on the families of Pariaman Police personnel. Today, 31 positive swab results were obtained including 4 family members of the Pariaman Police.

"The 31 details are 27 members, 4 of which are their families," said Deny.

Currently, personnel and families who have been confirmed positive for COVID-19 have been brought to Pariaman Regional Hospital. Although many members have been exposed to COVID-19, services at the Pariaman Police are still open to the public.

"Services continue to run, however, they still use health protocols. The reduction in the number of people who enter the room is limited, distance is limited, body temperature checks," he concluded.
