Forced With Alcohol, A Girl In Jember Is Raped By A Man Known Through Facebook

JEMBER - A 17-year-old woman in Jember, East Java, became a victim of rape by a man she just met through Facebook. The victim was force-fed alcohol until she was drunk and then raped in a rubber plantation.

The victim was in a daze at that time because she was still under the influence of alcohol. Luckily at that time, there were residents who passed by and took the victim to her house.

Arriving at home, the victim reported the rape incident to the Jenggawah Police Headquarters. It didn't take long for the police to arrest the perpetrator named Fanda Hadinata (22) a resident of Tempurejo Village/Sub-district, Jember.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Jenggawah Police, Aiptu Akhmad Rinto, revealed that the man admitted his actions. The perpetrator raped the victim in a rubber plantation in the Kebun Renteng area, Monday, December 27.

"The victim and the perpetrator got to know each other through Facebook. On December 27, the perpetrator took the victim for a walk," said Aiptu Akhmad Rinto, Tuesday, January 4.

The victim was invited to tour around the village road. The suspect then asked the victim to stop at a liquor store. After buying alcohol, the perpetrator took the victim to a rubber plantation around the Kebun Renteng area.

"At that time the victim was invited to drink but the victim refused. But the perpetrator finally forced the victim to just surrender and drink the alcohol until he was drunk," he said.

When the victim became unconscious, the perpetrator raped the victim.

After that, the perpetrator took the victim to the Jenggawah District field. There the victim was left.

"Luckily at that time there were residents who were kind and helped the poor girl. The victim then reported to the Police Headquarter. The police also managed to apprehend the perpetrator along with evidence of a suit of victim's clothes and an empty bottle of liquor," he concluded.
