Marshal (Ret.) Hadi Tjahjanto Will Be Based In Mandalika

MATARAM - Marshal (Ret.) TNI Hadi Tjahjanto plans to soon have an office in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Central Lombok Regency, West Nusa Tenggara after being appointed by President Jokowi as Field Commander for the 2022 Mandalika MotoGP preparation.

"God willing, on January 6 or 7 Marshal (Ret.) TNI Hadi Tjahjanto has an office in Mandalika," said the Regional Secretary (Sekda) of NTB Province HL Gita Ariadi in Mataram, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 4.

Gita explained that the presence of the former TNI Commander, namely as Field Commander in preparing the Mandalika Circuit to host MotoGP, including preparing for the pre-season test scheduled for February 2022, could run smoothly and safely.

"The point is to ensure the readiness of the Mandalika MotoGP," he said.

The NTB Regional Secretary stated that there were a number of points of concern that needed immediate attention based on evaluation records during the November 2021 World Superbike (WSBK) implementation, including road infrastructure, circuit arrangement both outside and inside, MSMEs, audience circulation, and tickets.

"From the results of our evaluation together with all parties during the World Superbike (WSBK) implementation, there are still 18 items that need to be completed and repaired immediately. That does not include records from ITDC," explained Gita Ariadi.

According to him, a number of ministries and institutions have also been ordered by President Jokowi to come down to help and take pictures of the availability of supporters according to their respective fields of duty before the arrival of the upcoming 2022 MotoGP.

"This means that we do not work alone. The central government pays special attention to the implementation of world events to be held in NTB, including MotoGP.

For this reason, all OPD are also asked not to hesitate to communicate and coordinate with the central government through ministries or other central command institutions," he said.
