PALU - The body of the wanted list (DPO) of suspected Poso terrorist Ahmad Panjang alias Ahmad Gazali will be buried at the Poboya Public Cemetery (TPU), Palu City, Central Sulawesi on Wednesday, January 5.
The police will wait for Ahmad Panjang's family from South Sulawesi to arrive in Palu City to attend the funeral procession directly.
"We have contacted the plan to come tomorrow, after arriving we will carry out a funeral in Poboya," said Head of the Madago Raya Public Relations Task Force Kombes Didik Supranoto, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 4.
Didik explained that Ahmad Panjang was shot in several parts of his body, causing the DPO from East Luwu District, South Sulawesi to die in a resident's plantation.
“There were a few shots in the lethal area. The autopsy has been completed by the Bhayangkara Palu Hospital," said Didik.
Didik admitted that there are still sympathizers who help and supply food and provide information to Poso terrorist DPOs.
"It is evident from the evidence that was secured by the Madago Raya Task Force," he also said.
"Actions were taken to paralyze them, they could not move on their own," he said.
Didik also asked the remaining three members of the East Indonesia Mujahidin (MIT) Poso to surrender themselves for legal processing. "We are in the legal process and they can improve their lives," he said.
Previously, the Poso terrorist DPO on behalf of Ahmad Panjang alias Ahmad Gazali was shot at the Uempasa Hamlet Dam, Dolago Village, Parigi Moutong Regency, Tuesday, around 10.30 WITA.
"The task force has secured a number of evidences such as machetes, homemade bombs, money, cooking utensils and spices, flashlights, camping equipment, and other evidence," said Didik.
With the death of Ahmad Panjang alias Ahmad Gazali, there are still three members of MIT Poso who are included in the DPO, namely Askar alias Jaid alias Pak Guru, Nae alias Galuh alias Muklas, and Suhardin alias Hasan Pranata.
The three DPO MIT Poso people are suspected to be still wandering in the mountains of Poso, Parigi Moutong, and Sigi Regencies.
