JAKARTA - The Nias Basarnas conducted an operation to search for a fisherman named Syukur Kurniawan Telaumbanua (30). The resident of Lasara Sawo Village, North Nias Regency, North Sumatra, disappeared while fishing around Sarang Baung Island.

"It is known that the victim left for the waters of Sarang Baung Island on Monday at around 18.00 WIB and the victim's boat was seen by other fishermen swaying without victims at around 20.30 WIB," he said.

Around Sarang Baung Island, one of the victim's colleagues saw the victim's boat tossed and the victim was not on the boat, so he asked other fellow fishermen to help in the search.
