Police Pocket Methamphetamine Suppliers To Ex-Kapolsek Sepatan Tangerang

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Metro Police stated that they knew the origin of methamphetamine in the narcotics abuse case that ensnared the former Head of the Sepatan Police, Tangerang, AKP Oky Bekti Wibowo. The identity of the methamphetamine supplier is said to have been bagged.

"Of course this is known," said the Head of Public Relations of the Polda Metro Jaya Kombes E. Zulpan to reporters, Monday, January 3.

However, Zulpan did not provide details. The reason is that the supplier is being hunted.

"It can't be conveyed because it's still being chased," he said.

Regardless of the origin of the methamphetamine, Zulpan said, until now AKP Oky Bekti has not undergone a professional ethics trial. The case is still at the filing stage.

"Not yet (professional ethics trial, ed), the file has not been completed," said Zulpan.

AKP Oky Bekti Wibowo before being removed from the position of the Sepatan Police Chief. Currently, he has been transferred to Pama Yanma Polda Metro Jaya for examination.

The removal was stated in the Telegram Letter (ST) number ST/588/XII/KEP./2021. The dismissal was carried out because AKP Oky was involved in a case of drug abuse of methamphetamine type.
