Dino Patti Djalal Admits Threatened By Land Mafia Defendant, Metro Jaya Police Guarantee Security

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police will provide protection to former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Dino Patti Djalal who admitted to being threatened. The threat is said to have come from Mustofa alias Topan, who is one of the defendants in the land mafia case.

"(Regarding) the threat received by Dino Patti Djalal, the Metro Jaya Police will provide protection to Dino in this regard," said Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police Grand Commissioner E. Zulpan to reporters, Monday, January 3.

The threat was discovered by Dino Patti Djalal after receiving the recording. In the recording, there is the voice of Typhoon instructing someone to harm the former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Zulpan emphasized that in addition to providing protection, his party would process the alleged threats. Later, the investigation process will be carried out.

"I convey that the Metro Jaya Police will seriously provide security to Dino and process anyone who threatens or orders others to do harm for the sake of something, especially to eliminate the relevant evidence at trial," he said.

Currently, evidence of threats has been bagged. In the near future, investigators will begin to delve into it

For information, Mustofa alias Topan is one of the six defendants in the land mafia case involving Dino Patti Djalal as a victim.

The land mafia case has entered the trial stage. The investigation file against Typhoon is in phase II on November 18, 2021.
