KPK Prosecutor Will Present 4 Witnesses At Aziz Syamsuddin's Trial, One Of Them Is Golkar Politician Aliza Gunado

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPk) will attend four witnesses in the trial of the alleged dual handling of corruption cases in Central Lampung with the accused former deputy of the DPR, Aziz Syamsuddin.

One of the witnesses summoned was a Golkar Party politician, Aliza Gunado.

"For the trial of defendant Azis Samsuddin, Monday, January 3, 2022, the prosecutor's team again scheduled the summons of witnesses at the trial, including Aan Riyanto, Aliza Gunado, Taufik Rahman, and Darius Hartawan," said Acting KPK spokesman Ali Fikri when confirmed, Monday, January 3rd.

Witness Aan Riyanto and Taufik Rahman are former officials of the Central Lampung Highways Office. Meanwhile, Darius Hartawan as the owner of CV Tetayan Consultant.

Ali said, the witnesses' statements will be dug up. Then, the information will be confronted with other witnesses. "(Witness testimony, red) Will be confronted," he said.

Aziz Syamsuddin was charged with bribing a former investigator from the anti-corruption agency, Stepanus Robin Pattuju and a lawyer, Maskur Husain, for Rp3.09 billion and US$36,000, or around Rp3.6 billion.

The bribe was aimed at asking Stepanus to assist in the management of cases of alleged receipt of gifts or promises related to the administration of the Central Lampung Special Allocation Fund (DAK) for the 2017 fiscal year.
