In 2019, 30 National Strategic Projects Worth Rp. 165.3 Trillion Completed

JAKARTA - The Committee for the Acceleration of Priority Infrastructure Provision (KPPIP) said that as many as 30 national strategic projects (PSN) were completed in 2019 with a total investment value of IDR 165.3 trillion.

"All projects have been completed, we hope that in the near future this project can provide benefits to each, including in the regions," said the Head of the KPPIP Implementing Team, Wahyu Utomo, in a presentation on the achievements of PSN in Jakarta, Friday, December 27.

He detailed the 30 PSNs as four airports, four dams, nine roads, six special economic and industrial zones, two trains, one port, two smelters, two and technology, which are spread across a number of parts of Indonesia.

"For toll roads and dams, this is somewhat different. If the toll road is completed, it can be used, the dam process for impounding has already started, meaning that it is physically functional," he added.

Wahyu, who is also Deputy for the Coordination of Infrastructure Acceleration and Regional Development at the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, added that cumulatively from 2016 to December 2019 there were 92 completed PSNs. The total investment value of PSN from 2016 to December 2019, he continued, reached IDR 467.4 trillion.

KPPIP also noted that until 2019 as many as 88 percent of the projects had passed the preparation stage, namely transactions, construction, and operation of a total of 223 projects and three programs. The three programs are electricity, aircraft industry, and economic equality.

It is targeting that by the end of 2020, as many as 95 percent of the projects have been completed and only 5 percent are still in the preparation stage.

Based on Presidential Decree Number 56 of 2018 concerning Amendments to Presidential Decree Number 58 of 2017, as many as 223 PSNs are projects of toll roads, national roads, and intercity and inner-city rail facilities and infrastructure.

Apart from that, there are also airport revitalization projects, airport development, construction of new airports, one million houses program, construction of oil refineries, waste energy, and a gas pipeline / LPG terminal project.

Then, there are also PSN for drinking water, dams / irrigation networks, flood-retaining embankments, special economic zones / priority industrial areas, tourism, smelters, fisheries and maritime affairs, and educational infrastructure. The total estimated financing of all PSNs from 2016 to after 2020 has reached IDR 4,183 trillion.
