Tourist Attractions From Anyer Beach To Carita Banten Are Deserted By Visitors

SERANG - Coastal tourism objects in Banten seem deserted by visitors to celebrate the turn of the 2022 new year, thus making traffic flow smoothly and there are no crowds.

Owners of tourist attractions in the Anyer area to Carita Beach and south of Lebak complained about the lack of visitors at the turn of the new year, including owners of restaurants, hotels, villas and traders.

"Usually, at the turn of the new year, tourist destinations in Banten are full of visitors," said Hendra, a restaurant owner in the Anyer area, Serang Regency, quoted by Antara, Friday, December 31.

Currently, he said, from this afternoon until this evening the vehicles for visitors to the western coast of Banten are relatively small.

"We ensure that the tourist visitors are deserted after the 2018 tsunami disaster that occurred on the west coast of Banten Province from Anyer, Carita to Sumur, plus the impact of the pandemic," he explained.

Hilma, a tourism entrepreneur at White Sands in the Carita Beach area, Pandeglang, admitted that the tourist visitors who have come here have been quiet since three years ago, including at the turn of the new year.

Prior to the tsunami disaster, he said, at the turn of the new year from evening to night, the beach was crowded with tourists, even the vehicles were completely jammed.

However, he said, New Year's Eve is currently empty of tourists.

"We hope that in the future the Banten beach tourism object will rise again," he said.

Meanwhile, Ade, the caretaker of a tourist attraction on the beach in Bayah District, Lebak Regency, said the lack of tourists visiting because of the tsunami issue as well as the government's appeal to avoid crowds.

"We initially predicted that tourists celebrating the turn of the new year would be crowded, but in reality there were no visitors," he said.
