Viral GPI Christmas Worship Banned By Residents, Tulangbawang Regency Government Lampung: Licensing No Problems As Long As It Complies With Provisions In The Republic Of Indonesia

LAMPUNG - The Government of Tulangbawang Regency, Lampung supports the resolution of the Indonesian Pentecostal Church (GPI) problem related to the permit to build the church.

This was followed by a problem between the residents and the GPI Tulangbawang congregation during the Christmas service.

The Head of Communications and Information Technology of Tulangbawang Regency, Dedy Palwadi, said that there were no problems related to the permit for the construction of the GPI Church in the area.

"There is no problem with licensing, it's just up to them (GPI, ed) how to process it," he said, quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 30.

Dedy said the Tulangnawang Regency Government supports solving the problem as long as what is being done is in accordance with the vision of the Tulang Bawang Regency.

"We from the district government always support it as long as it is in accordance with the applicable regulations in the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI)," he said.

Dedy added that until now the conditions in Tulangbawang are conducive, safe and peaceful. The GPI community and congregation have been carrying out their daily activities as usual.

"Everything is conducive and peaceful. The point is that the Tulangbawang Regency Government itself strongly supports the steps taken for the benefit of the Tulangbawang community," he said.
