Excavation Project Worker Finds Grenade In Front Of BX-Change Mal Mall

JAKARTA – Residents on Jalan Cendrawasih Raya RT01 RW01, Sawah Lama, Ciputat, South Tangerang City were shocked by the discovery of a pineapple grenade. The object was first discovered by project workers in the area around the BX-Change Mall.

According to AS, the project supervisor, at that time he was monitoring the work of digging access roads around the site, at around 11.15 WIB. In the excavation process using an excavator, the US suspected an object shaped like a grenade.

The excavator operator was also asked to stop his work. Upon inspection, it appears that the object is in the form of a grenade. The US then contacted the nearest police.

The location where the grenade was found was known to be in a tunnel dug into Sudimara Station, in front of BXChange Mall. A number of police and military officers immediately went to check. Now a police line is installed in the area.

The Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit of the South Tangerang Police, AKP Aldo Primanda Putra, admitted that the Gegana team had evacuated the grenade. But he could not reveal further because it is still under in-depth investigation.

"Already (evacuated), there was an emergency team that secured it," he said.
