JAYAPURA - Deputy Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (Wamen PUPR) John Wempi Wetipo (JWW) said that the construction of the Wamena-Jayapura transPapua road is planned to be completed in 2023.
"There are still approximately 75 kilometers of the Wamena-Jayapura route that will be worked on," he said in Jayapura, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 29.
According to JWW, from 75 kilometers, 25 kilometers will be completed next year which is already included in the budget.
"While the remaining 50 kilometers will be completed in 2023," he said.
He explained that the connectivity of this transPapua road is approximately 130 kilometers which has not been connected.
"Others are already connected, but there are still those whose quality is below standard," he said.
The Deputy Minister of PUPR added that in the future his party hopes that in the process it will pay attention to its weight by testing its structure.
