The West Java Regional Police Make Sure They Have Fired Ex-Police Chief Who Was Involved In Drugs

BANDUNG - The West Java Regional Police confirmed that it had dishonorably dismissed (PTDH) the former Astanaanyar Police Chief, Kompol Yuni Purwanti. Yuni was arrested in February 2021 for being involved in a drug case.

Head of Propam Police West Java, Kombes Yohan Priyoto, said Yuni was proven to have committed a violation by being involved in a drug case. Yuni's dismissal, he said, was a police commitment to eradicate drug trafficking.

"The leader's commitment is clear that regarding members who have problems with drugs, we will definitely PTDH", said Yohan Priyoto at the West Java Regional Police, Bandung City, West Java, quoted by Antara, Wednesday, December 29.

According to Yohan, Yuni was fired along with several other members who were also involved in drugs. Meanwhile, in February 2021, Yuni was arrested along with 11 other police officers.

"Regarding the drugs, all have been PTDH", he said.

Yohan said that Yuni had filed an appeal when the court had found her guilty. However, according to him, the appeal was rejected so that his dismissal was unavoidable.

"And the person concerned has the rank of middle officer, the appeal is at Police Headquarters, but the appeal is rejected", he said.

Previously on February 17, 2021, the West Java Regional Police stated that they had arrested 12 police officers who were involved in drugs. One of them was Kompol Yuni who at that time served as Head of Astanaanyar Police.

After the name Kompol Yuni appeared in the drug case, the West Java Police immediately removed Yuni from his position so that he could undergo an intensive examination at the West Java Propam Police.
