President Jokowi Scheduled To Inaugurate Pidekso Reservoir In Wonogiri

WONOGIRI - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is scheduled to inaugurate the Pidekso Reservoir, in Pidekso Village, Giriwoyo District, Wonogiri Regency, Central Java Province, Tuesday, December 28.

"The Pidekso Reservoir, which has been built since 2015 in Wonogiri, has completed its construction, and is scheduled to be inaugurated by Mr. President Jokowi, at around 15.00 WIB," said Project Manager for Development of the Pidekso Reservoir PT PP Persero, Nur Eko, quoted by Antara, Monday, December 27. .

In addition, President Jokowi is also scheduled to sow tilapia, carp and cork. Nur Eko said the construction of the Pidekso Reservoir, which has a capacity of around 25 million cubic meters, was contractually started since land acquisition in November 2015. However, due to land problems, infrastructure development could only start in May 2018.

The construction of the Pidekso Reservoir in Wonogiri requires a budget of around Rp. 730 billion. The entire infrastructure in the reservoir area was completed last week.

The infrastructure development includes dam embankments, diversion channels or river flow diversions, main gates or spillways, water spillways, public facilities, and others. Completion of the project is on target.

"The construction of the reservoir should have been completed in December 2022, but it has been accelerated for one year, December 2021, it is finished and ready to be inaugurated," he said.

Although, the construction of the reservoir is pushed forward for one year, the construction of the building still pays attention to quality so that it is guaranteed to be safe. For construction, the technical requirements are still considered and quality control is always carried out layer by layer.

He said that although the dam construction was 100 percent complete, maintenance was still the responsibility of PT PP Persero as the contractor. The maintenance period is one year.

"This reservoir, starting to be filled with water, since Thursday (14/10) until Monday, the water level or elevation has reached 183 meters above sea level (masl). Meanwhile, the upper limit of the reservoir water elevation is recorded at 185 meters above sea level," he said.
