US Caucasians Who Disappeared While Sailing Boat In Bali Were Found Safe

BADUNG - Foreign citizen (WNA) from the United States Geofry (50) fell while doing a sailing boat in the waters of Serangan, Denpasar, Bali.

"Initially at around 14.00 WITA, the victim and his friend started sailing, but the boat experienced a balance disturbance so that it fell and its whereabouts were unknown," said Head of the Bali Basarnas Office, Gede Darmada, Monday, December 27.

The incident was immediately reported to the Bali Basarnas at 17.40 WITA. A rescue team of 10 people was deployed.

The victim was found safe by fishermen and then evacuated to Segare Cruise.

The victim was found in the waters of Kusamba, Klungkung Regency or about 11 NM from the incident location to the northeast.

"The search was carried out by a joint SAR team using a Rigid Iflatable Boat (RIB), but at around 19.30 WITA, information was obtained that the victim had been found safe," said Darmada.
