COVID-19 Update As Of 27 December: 120 New Cases, 4,496 Active Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 231,889 specimens were examined with the result that there were 120 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,261,879 and active cases are 4,496", said Ministry of Health data, Monday, December 27.

Today's recovered cases increased by 271 cases, bringing the total to 4,113,320 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 8 people and the total was 144,063 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 42 cases and a total of 865,034 cases. Followed by East Java with 9 new cases with a total of 486,867 cases. West Papua with 9 new cases and a total of 23,569 cases. Then, Riau Islands with 8 new cases and a total of 54,130 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 98 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 47 recovered cases, East Java with an additional 20 recovered cases, and DI Yogyakarta with an additional 13 recovered cases.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens has reached 62,247,607.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.10 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or who are currently categorized as suspected cases was recorded at 2,696 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 156,994,789 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 110,812,856 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 1,280,673. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
