Christmas Day Holiday, Ancol Visited 18 Thousand Visitors

JAKARTA - Ancol Dreamland Park has been packed with 18 thousand visitors on the Christmas Day holiday. Ancol Public Relations Officer, Ariyadi Eko Nugroho said this number was recorded as of 14.00 WIB.

"As of 14.00, there were 18 thousand visitors who entered the Ancol area. The beach area is still the most visited," said Eko when contacted by VOI, Saturday, December 25.

However, Eko emphasized that the current number of visitors is still below 25 percent of the total visitor capacity of the tourist area in North Jakarta.

Then, Ancol also did not hold any Christmas and New Year celebrations, which usually gathered the masses as in previous years. Eko said that Ancol management is more focused on services, especially in implementing health protocols.

"Ancol management should not hold special events to celebrate New Year's Eve like in previous years. We only celebrate with Christmas and New Year theme decorations," said Eko. Meanwhile, around 400 security officers from the police and Satpol PP were alerted in the Ancol area to secure a number of tourist sites.

Currently, the Ancol area operates from 06.00 to 21.00 WIB. All recreational units such as Dunia Fantasi, Ocean Dream Samudra, Sea World Ancol, Allianz Ecopark, Art Market, Gondola and Faunaland Ancol can also be enjoyed by all visitors.

Special Atlantis Water Adventures in December can be visited on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays starting at 08.00 - 16.00 WIB.
