Densus 88 Arrest 3 Terrorists In Central Java, JI Network IT Expert

JAKARTA - Densus 88 Anti-terror has arrested three suspected terrorists in Central Java. They are a network of Jamaah Islamiyah (JI) which acts as an Information and Technology (IT) expert.

"There are 3 suspects (terrorism, ed) from the JI network," said Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police Public Relations Division, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, to reporters, Thursday, December 23.

The three suspected terrorists had the initials AP, RR, and NT. The three of them are heads to members of the IT field in the JI network.

For suspected terrorists, AP plays the role of Head of IT Sub Division in the Central Java JI network. He was arrested on Wednesday, December 22.

Then, the alleged terrorists RR and NT, continued Ramadhan, had a similar role. They are members of the IT Sub Division.

"The involvement is the same apart from JI members, he is a member in the IT field in the JI group in the Central Java region," said Ramadhan.

Previously, the Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror of the National Police arrested terrorist suspects in a number of areas in Central Java.

The Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Police, Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy, confirmed the action taken by the Densus in Central Java.

The arrests were made in the areas of Semarang City, Solo, and Sukoharjo Regency.
