Commemorating Mother's Day, PKS: Indonesian Women Are An Important Asset, Potential And Investment

JAKARTA - The Chair of the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) Shura Council, Salim Segaf Al Jufri, emphasized the importance of women's role in the development of the Indonesian nation in the commemoration of Mother's Day, 'A Million Loves for Mothers.'

"Indonesian women are an important asset, potential and investment for Indonesia who can contribute significantly according to their capabilities and abilities," said Salim Segaf in a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Thursday, December 23.

In line with the PKS leadership, PPPA Minister I Gusti Bintang Darmawati also emphasized the importance of women's existence in various fields.

"Mother's Day aims to encourage all stakeholders and the wider community to pay attention and acknowledge the importance of the existence of women in various fields of development, because women are the driving force for the success of current and future development," said I Gusti Bintang Darmawati.

For Women and Family Resilience (BPKK) PKS commemorated Mother's Day by holding a peak event, and was enlivened by a speech which was attended by psychologist Rahmi Dahnan and Sharia expert Maryam Jamilah Ahzami.

The Indonesian Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah, the Indonesian Minister of Foreign Affairs Retno Lestari Priansari Marsudi, the wife of the Governor of DKI Jakarta Fery Farhati, as well as the Deputy Chair of AIMI Center Farahdiba Tenrilemba also gave testimonies regarding the glorification of mothers and women at the Peak of Mother's Day 2021.

Chairman of the BPKK DPP PKS Kurniasih Mufidayati also gave appreciation to the mothers at the moment.

"We give appreciation to mothers for their love for the nation's children. Throughout their lives, the role of outside mothers is to be able to educate their sons and daughters with all the challenges that exist, especially the challenges of the current pandemic," said Mufida.

This activity also featured other interesting events, such as the video show of the BPKK DPP PKS Kaleidoscope, the announcement of the video for the winner of the “One Million Love for Mother” give away, the launch of the Indonesian Family House Consultant Book (RKI) PKS, as well as video shows of RKI's progress in carrying out National Movement activities. "Millions of Love for Mother".

Please note, this 2021 Mother's Day Peak Event is the final event of a series of Mother's Day activities held by BPKK PKS since November 2021 throughout the archipelago, with the National Movement (Gernas) activity "One Million Loves for Mothers" as the main event. Health services, family consultations, giving gifts to mothers, as well as national gymnastics are variations of Gernas activities that are mostly carried out by BPKK PKS in many areas.

Through this series of Mother's Day 2021 activities, it is hoped that family development, especially the glorification of women, will continue to increase for the realization of quality families and a strong nation.
