The Victim Has Reported To The Police, But The Case Of Sexual Harassment Of Former RT In Bekasi There Is No Clarity

JAKARTA - A former RT in Bekasi City was reported for alleged sexual harassment of his own neighbour. The victim is also known to be a mother and child, both of whom know each other with the alleged perpetrator.

The victim's attorney, Antonius Parlaunggan said, if the incident occurred on September 27, 2021, a report would be made to the Bekasi City Metro Police on October 19, 2021.

The time span for the reporter to date is quite long, making the family again question the development of the case, because until now the perpetrators can still breathe free air, which is feared that it will increase the number of victims.

"We want to confirm to the police the extent to which our report is related to allegations of obscene or immoral acts committed by a former RT," said Antonius Parlaunggan, Wednesday, December 22.

The victim's attorney said the incident began when the alleged perpetrator wanted to return the plate to the victim's house. Incidentally at that time it was the owner of the house who accepted it, on the sidelines of the alleged perpetrator's visit offering massage tips.

The victim, who at that time had a stomach history, finally responded, and wanted to know the massages that the alleged perpetrator wanted to convey. At that time the victim massaged the victim's legs, then continued to the victim's chest area, feeling uncomfortable the victim rebelled.

"That's where our client rebelled and at that moment, Mr. RT immediately kissed, hugged, and was witnessed by our client's own daughter," he said.

The cruel actions carried out by the former RT did not only happen to the victims. The victim's child also said that the alleged perpetrator had also abused his child when his family entrusted him to the alleged perpetrator.

"So in September, we sent the children to the RT, so that's when the RT came to our client's house, when he went up to the 2nd floor, that's where he kissed and hugged the child of our client," he said.

Meanwhile, Andi, the victim's husband said that after the incident his wife and child were traumatized. Although currently still traumatized, but his condition is much better than before.

"They feel very traumatized because the distance from their house is too close, it is my wish that this perpetrator can be arrested, because until now they have not been detained, so that the psychology of my wife and children can return to normal," he said.

He also hopes that the Bekasi City Metro Police will be able to give the fairest punishment for the case experienced by his wife and child. Worried that if it is not immediately followed up, it will add to the next victims.

"I ask the relevant parties and their staff to follow up firmly and fairly. There is a slight deterrent effect on the perpetrators," he said.

Head of Public Relations of the Bekasi City Metro Police, Kompol Erna Ruswing Andari, said that he was following up on reports of the alleged harassment. However, he was unable to provide a detailed explanation regarding the case.

"We have followed up. For later developments, we will report back," he said.
