BMKG Weather Forecast: A Number Of Jakarta Areas Have The Potential For Thunderstorms Accompanied By Strong Winds

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) on Wednesday predicted that several areas of DKI Jakarta would experience rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds from midday to early morning.

Launching Antara, Wednesday, December 22, official data from the BMKG on Wednesday noted that the areas of West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands will experience light rain in the morning. Meanwhile, South Jakarta and East Jakarta are expected to be cloudy.

The BMKG warned of the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds in West Jakarta, East Jakarta, and South Jakarta during the afternoon and evening.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta and North Jakarta are forecasted for moderate rain, while the Thousand Islands are forecasted for light rain.

Entering the evening, the areas of West Jakarta, Central Jakarta, East Jakarta, North Jakarta, and the Thousand Islands are predicted to be cloudy, while South Jakarta will have light rain.

The weather in South Jakarta and East Jakarta on Thursday, December 23 is predicted to have light rain. Meanwhile, West Jakarta is raining with moderate intensity.

Meanwhile, rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will again occur in Central Jakarta, North Jakarta and the Thousand Islands on Thursday morning.

The air temperature in Jakarta is generally between 24 and 30 degrees Celsius, with humidity between 75 and 100 percent.
