Entering The Top 5 Survey Of Presidential And Vice Presidential Candidates, Puan Maharani Is Getting 'Sexy'

JAKARTA - The popularity of DPR Speaker Puan Maharani seems to be increasing. In the Populi Center survey results, Puan Maharani is included in the top five figures who have the potential to be supported as a presidential candidate.

While in the Charta Politica survey for the vice presidential candidate category, Puan was in fifth place.

Political observer from Al Azhar Indonesia University (UAI) Ujang Komarudin, assesses that Puan's figure can be compared to anyone in the 2024 presidential election. The chairman of the PDIP DPP, he said, is an 'stuff' for political parties because his party can carry candidates without a coalition.

"She (Puan, ed) has high bargaining, and is sexy," said Ujang in Jakarta, Tuesday, December 21.

It's just that even though PDIP can nominate its own candidate, to win, Puan must be assisted by someone who has a high electability.

"Suitable for any presidential candidate who has high electability," he continued.

In addition, said Ujang, it also depends on the opposing pair who will advance in the presidential election later. "Who is the opposing partner, must be seen. Which party is in a coalition, must also calculate the high electability of Puan's political opponent," said the Executive Director of the Indonesia Political Review.
