Convoy While Carrying Sharp Weapons, 37 Minors Arrested At Banten Police

JAKARTA - The Banten Police Resmob Team together with the Tangerang City Police Resmob and the Cisoka Sector Police Resmob arrested 37 minors involved in the plot to brawl in Cisoka with sharp weapons.

The arrest of the gang began with reports from the public who saw dozens of teenagers carrying sharp weapons and carrying out convoys on Sunday, December 19. Residents who feel worried immediately reported to the Cisoka Police.

The Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cisoka Police, First Inspector Muklis explained that this group's action was very disturbing to the community.

"These children often disturb the public, based on information that the group of young people has no clear purpose in using and carrying weapons in the form of sickles, swords including iron that has been formed," he explained.

To anticipate the occurrence of unwanted things, his party together with a joint team carried out operations and sweeps. This operation, said Muklis, was carried out to prevent casualties.

"Then take precautions so that there are no casualties," he said again.

Muklis also said that of the children who were detained there were various forms of violations.

"What we secure varies, some have sharp weapons, some don't, of course, we will sort them out. On average, they are still in their teens, in this case, they are still underage," he explained.

Muklis continued, the gang was secured from various locations. Among them in Adiyasa Park, Solear, Kirana Surya Park and also in the Cisoka area.

"There are 37 children in total, in two places. Those are in the jurisdiction of the Cisoka Police," he said.

He hopes that if the public finds a group of teenagers who are disturbing, they can report it to the authorities

"The issue of security is a shared task. Don't just be a spectator," he said.

Currently, he confirmed that the 37 children had been taken to the Banten Police for further examination.

"Now the children are being taken to the Regional Police because last night they were led by the Head of Sub-Directorate for the Directorate of Criminal and Criminal Investigation at the Banten Police," he explained.
