The Ummah Party Will Cooperate With Loyalist Amien Rais

SEMARANG - The Ummat Party will cooperate and maintain good relations with loyalists of Amien Rais so that it can become one of the political parties participating in the 2024 General Election.

"In addition to cooperating with Amien Rais loyalists, we are also cooperating with new fields, namely the millennial generation who will be 17 years old and above during the 2024 election. So we will continue to care for existing trees, but will also plant new trees," said the DPP chairman. Ridho Rahmadi's Ummat Party in Semarang quoted by Antara, Friday, December 17.

This was conveyed by Amien Rais' son-in-law after inaugurating the Central Java Provincial Ummah Party DPW Management.

Ridho believes that the Central Java Ummat Party will be included in the top five parties with the most voters in this province because it has a good political ecosystem for the Ummat Party.

"This is the second inauguration of the Central Java Ummah Party DPW Board after previously we inaugurated the East Java Ummah Party DPW Board. After this it was DIYogyakarta, West Java, Banten, then headed to Sumatra, and finally to the eastern part of Indonesia," he said.

The target, he continued, is that all members of the Ummat Party in Indonesia will be sworn in by March 2022.

However, the Ummat Party has not yet shown their mainstay figures to run in the 2024 election and does not rule out the possibility of inviting other political parties to join.

"For now, there is none. We are still looking for an alternative leader that is coveted by Muslims. For the party we will partner with, of course, that has the same DNA in fighting for justice and fighting injustice," he said.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Central Java Ummat Party DPW Agna Susila was grateful for the inauguration of the Central Java Ummah Party DPW Management which went smoothly.

"I hope that all of our struggles with the Ummat Party can become a field of charity for all of us. Hopefully, Allah will provide guidance so that the Ummat Party can become a party to be reckoned with in Central Java," he said.

In the political contestation in 2024, he hopes that the Ummat Party can qualify as an election participant and targets Central Java to be included in the top five party groups.
