Related to disaster management, continued Nico, the East Java Regional Police have formed several task forces. Among them are the Evacuation Search Task Force, Health Task Force, Logistics Task Force, and Public Relations Task Force.

"As many as 11 dogs tracking Satwa K-9 units from the National Police Headquarters and the East Java Regional Police and their ranks are still on standby during the search operation for victims of the Mount Semeru hot cloud avalanche," he said.

Based on data from the Lumajang Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), the number of victims who died as a result of the hot clouds falling from Mount Semeru was 48 people, then 18 people suffered serious injuries and nine people suffered minor injuries.

Meanwhile, the number of sub-districts affected by the eruption material and volcanic ash in 21 sub-districts in Lumajang Regency with a total of 10.158 displaced residents spread over 151 points.
