COVID-19 Update As Of December 14: 109 New Cases, Accumulated 4,259,439 Cases

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 298,894 specimens were examined with the result that there were 190 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4,259,439 people and 4,905 active cases", said Ministry of Health data, Tuesday, December 14.

Today's recovered cases increased by 247 cases, bringing the total to 4,110,574 people recovered. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 12 people and a total of 143,960 people.

The province with the newest cases was in West Java with 39 cases and a total of 708,396 cases. Followed by East Java with 27 new cases with a total of 399,769 cases. DKI Jakarta has 20 new cases and a total of 864,426 cases. Then, Central Java with 16 new cases and a total of 486,658 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to West Java with an additional 78 recovered cases. Followed by Central Java with an increase of 33 recovered cases, DKI Jakarta with an additional 25 recovered cases, and East Java with an additional 23 recovered cases.

There are 8 provinces reporting no new cases today. The provinces are Aceh, Jambi, Lampung, Riau Islands, South Kalimantan, Southeast Sulawesi, Maluku, and North Maluku.

In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 58,730,148.

"Positive results per number of people tested or this week's positivity rate of 0.09 percent", he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 4,417 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

So far, 147,468,396 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 103,638,318 people have received the second dose of vaccination. While the third dose of vaccination was 1,261,797. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
