Pulogadung Police Officers Who Reject Reports Of Theft Victims Will Be Transferred To The Regions

JAKARTA - The East Jakarta Metro Police have given strict sanctions against Aipda RP, a member of the Pulogadung Police Criminal Investigation Unit who is suspected of not providing good service to public reports.

"Against the perpetrators, we have carried out intensive examinations, and we have transferred them in the context of the examination so as not to interfere with the investigation by the East Jakarta Police Propam," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Pol Erwin Kurniawan to VOI, Monday 13 December.

The police chief confirmed that he would punish any person or officer who cannot position themselves, cannot empathize, or violates SOPs.

"For the violations committed by members, of course I as the East Jakarta Police Chief apologize to the community so that I will correct them," he said.

Kombes Pol Erwin will also speed up the sentencing process for Aipda RP members of the Pulogadung Police.

"We will speed up the sentence and we will hear it on Wednesday," he said.

In fact, continued the Police Chief, the Jakarta Metro Police has already known about this case.

"Earlier, the Regional Police Chief has given directions regarding the proposal for disciplinary punishment, transfer or mutation of the tour of the area. Previously, a video of a complaint from Meta Kumala (32) a victim of the tire burst mode theft he experienced on Jalan Sunan Sedayu, Rawamangun, Pulogadung, East Jakarta, went viral on social media.

The viral video started with the unpleasant treatment that Meta got when reporting the theft case he experienced. A few hours after his bag and money in the car were stolen, Meta reported to the Pulogadung Police.

"My car keys were also stolen, so I went to the police station with my mother-in-law. My husband was waiting for the car," said Meta, Sunday, December 12, night.

At the Pulogadung Police Station, Meta stated that he lost Rp7 million in cash and several cards that he had placed in his bag.

"I just wrote my name, date of birth, whatever was missing. It's done, it's over. After that, there's no follow-up, what was the procedure after I was robbed," he said.

Meta was also asked to go home by a member of the Pulogadung Police.

"He said, 'It's okay, mother, you better go home and calm yourself down'," said Meta imitating the police statement. "In my heart, sir, if it's easy, my elementary school children ask for help looking for them. I can't understand it, that's why I'm disappointed really. My case was not handled, instead I was scolded, "said Meta.

In addition, Meta is also scolded for having many ATM cards.

"I mentioned that there were five ATMs (which were missing). Then one of the policemen said, it didn't sound good," he said.

"He said, 'Why do you have so many ATMs? If that's the case, it's a hassle. It's useless if you look for the culprit. Don't you know that admins are expensive?', said Meta, imitating the police statement.
