Islamic Boarding School Teacher Rape 12 Santriwati, Abu Janda: It's Not Women's Clothing That Is Regulated But The Brain So It's Not Cruel

JAKARTA - The case of rape perpetrated by a teacher at a boarding school in Bandung, West Java, caused a stir. There were 12 female students who became victims. It got worse because there were female students who were pregnant and gave birth to nine babies.

Social Media Activist Permadi Arya or who is familiarly called Abu Janda has raised his voice with this case. According to him, the case in Bandung further proves that rape is not a matter of women's clothing.

Indeed, there are many issues that arise when cases of rape are born due to overly sexy women's clothes. But this is refuted by the existence of this case.

"The rape case in Bandung is proof that it is not the result of women," said Abu Janda in a video uploaded to his Instagram account that was seen by the editor, Friday, December 10.

"So don't control women's clothes, but regulate your brain so it's not scary,"

"If you're still blaming women's clothing as a result of rape, you *** sex offender," he continued.

Previously, Commissioner of the Indonesian Child Protection Commission (KPAI) Retno Listyarti said the perpetrators of raping 12 female students in Bandung, West Java, could be sentenced to up to 20 years in prison plus castration. He urged the judge to give the maximum sentence.

"If there are a lot of victims, if it's done many times, actually it could be given an additional punishment, namely castration," said Retno.

The perpetrator who is the victim's teacher at the Islamic boarding school where the victim is deposited is considered the closest person to the victim so that the punishment for the perpetrator can be increased by a third of the maximum total of 15 years in prison. Thus, the perpetrator could be sentenced to at least 20 years in prison.

In addition, the perpetrator can be sentenced to additional punishment in the form of castration because sexual violence may be carried out repeatedly until 9 victims are found to be pregnant.

"With the consideration that the future of these children has been damaged and sexual violence has been carried out repeatedly against several people, so the perpetrators deserve to be given additional punishment in the form of castration," said Retno.
