Member Of Commission III Wants Police Chief Sigit And Staff To Continue To Improve Institutions Despite Positive Survey Results

JAKARTA - Member of Commission III of the House of Representatives Andi Rio Idris Padjalangi appreciates the results of the Indonesian Political Indicators survey which states that the National Police is a law enforcement agency by gaining sympathy and an 80.2 percent level of trust from the public. The results of this survey shifted the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).

Andi hopes that the Police can maintain the level of public trust in the future by always providing the best service to the community.

"Of course, this cannot be separated from the 'cold hands' of the National Police Chief Gen. Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo and his staff who want to make changes in increasing trust and service to the public," Andi Rio told reporters, Thursday, December 9.

The Golkar politician reminded the Police that they would not be satisfied with this figure. But it maintains and even improves the achievements that are close to perfection. In addition, it does not use the survey results as a benchmark for public satisfaction, but must be realized in the daily performance of the Police to the community.

"Continue to make improvements and a humanist approach as well as persuasive steps to the public, both in terms of law enforcement and services," he urged.

Andi Rio said that the National Police must continue to try to increase public trust at least to 95 percent. He asked members of the National Police to be able to maintain an attitude and always set a good example to the community.

Moreover, recently there have been many cases involving police officers. The latest, the case of forced abortion by Bripda Randy against a female student that went viral because it was suspected of being depressed and committing suicide in the cemetery area.

"Don't let the level of public trust decrease in the future, because of the actions of a few undisciplined police officers and can damage the image of the Polri institution itself," said Andi Rio.
