Major General Of The TNI Teguh Muji Angkasa As Commander General of Kopassus

JAKARTA - Major General TNI (Army), Teguh Muji Angkasa, has officially assumed the position of Commander General of the Special Forces Command (Kopassus) after the previous Commander General of Kopassus, Major General Mohamad Hasan, handed over the baton of leadership of the Red Beret Corps, at the Kopassus Headquarters, Cijantung, East Jakarta.

The handover of the Kopassus leadership commando was carried out based on the Decree of the TNI Commander Number Kep/1029/XI/2021 concerning Dismissal from/and Appointments in Position within the Indonesian National Armed Forces.

The letter was issued in Jakarta on Wednesday, November 17, or to coincide with the inauguration of General TNI Andika Perkasa as TNI Commander.

Earlier, Thursday morning, Army Chief of Staff (Kasad), General TNI Dudung Abdurachman, led the handover of the position (Sertijab) of the Danjen Kopassus at the Army Headquarters (Mabesad), Jakarta.

Major General Mohamad Hasan now serves as the Commander of the Iskandar Muda/Aceh Regional Military Command.

"Today, I need to officially hand over the Kopassus unit to my successor, which was witnessed by all Kopassus members who were present at this place", Hasan said in his remarks quoted by Antara, Thursday, December 9.

He thanked the entire Kopassus family, from soldiers to Kopassus civil servants who had given their loyalty and loyalty during his leadership of Kopassus for approximately 1 year and three months.

"So that for 1 year and 3 months I served as Danjen Kopassus the task of the unit could be carried out properly and smoothly", said Hasan.

According to Hasan, currently, Kopassus is actively organizing and developing the capabilities and skills of soldiers through education, training, and carrying out evaluations for the perfection of Kopassus in carrying out operational tasks both at home and abroad.

He hopes that in the future Kopassus will be more professional, tough, and adaptive in facing global challenges to support the main tasks of the TNI.

Meanwhile, the new Danjen Kopassus Maj. Gen. Teguh Muji Angkasa expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Indonesian Army who has given him the trust and confidence to lead the best unit in this country.

"I also thank my family and parents who always pray for, accompany, and support me so that I can be trusted to be the Commander General of Kopassus", said Teguh, who previously served as a permanent lecturer at the Defense University (IDU) since March 24, 2021.
