Minister Johnny G Plate: There Are 8,789 People With Black Status Found Based On PeduliLindungi Screening

JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Information (Kominfo) Johnny G Plate said that based on the screening of the PeduliLindung application, during the past 3 weeks, 8,789 people were found to be black because they were positive and had close contacts.

"There were 8,789 people who were found to be black because they were positive and had close contacts. Imagine if PeduliLindung does not use it, more than 8,000 people will be infected and circulate freely in public places," Johnny said at the Indonesia Outlook 2022 event entitled Adaptation of New Habits and Recovery Health broadcast on Channel Tempodotco, viewed by VOI, Wednesday, 9 December.

He added that currently the PeduliLindung application has been used by 77,329,648 users in Indonesia.

The screening points also spread to 53,986 public places, consisting of 1,186 places of worship, 4,556 restaurants, 2,929 hotels, 8,083 office buildings, 6,278 government offices, 3,630 schools, 2,964 industrial areas, and 1,084 cafes.

In the last 3 weeks, he continued, PeduliLindungi has conducted digital screening of 63,341,562 times. There are 58,280,104 green statuses of which they are allowed to enter public places that provide the PeduliLindung digital code.

"There were 5,071,484 re-verification because their status was yellow, and 268,070 were not allowed to enter because their status was red," he said.

This PeduliLindungi, he said, is very important to help the digital transition so that we can handle this pandemic well.

There are 11 features in PeduliLindung, including digital screening, checking certificates, publishing Covid-19 test results, historical features for digital screening check-ins, information dissemination features related to travel regulations, teledoctor service features, information features on nearest health services, features relating to the latest covid statistics and developments, as well as the Covid-19 vaccine registration feature.

In its development as well as welcoming the G20, Johnny said, there will be multi-language features in this application.

"So that countries participating in the trial can take advantage of the PeduliLindingi application so that we can control COVID-19 during the G20 implementation," he said.
