PDIP Medan Johor Chairman Loyalis Akhyar: Sorry, Bobby Newcomer

JAKARTA - The chairman of the PDI Perjuangan Medan Johor, Gumana Lubis, remains loyal to Akhyar Nasution. Akhyar was considered qualified, while Bobby Nasution, who was promoted by PDIP, was considered a newcomer.

“Bobby is sorry, it's not cooked (cooked) right. He registered himself (a PDIP cadre) when he was going to the Pilkada. We feel as if newcomers are easy. PDIP has a lot of potential (cadres), ”said Gumana when contacted by VOI, Thursday, August 13 evening.

Regarding his support for Akhyar Nasution, questioned by the PDIP DPD of North Sumatra, Gumana did not want to bother. For him, the aspirations of grassroots cadres should be a consideration for the DPP in deciding candidates for regional head.

“PDIP is a democratic party, a grassroots party, it should accommodate aspirations from the bottom up. The level of aspiration to nominate mayor was not implemented, "he said.

Regarding his 'recklessness' against Megawati's decision in the Medan Regional Election, Gumana admitted that he had not received a warning. Gumana emphasized that he only wanted the best cadres to be brought up in the Medan Pilkada.

"If the DPP decision is not appropriate, the cadres will refuse," said Gumana, who started her career as the secretary of the Branch Office (PAC) in Medan since 1998.

Gumana's action against Megawati became the spotlight of the Deputy Chairperson of the PDIP DPD North Sumatra, Aswan Jaya. Aswan said all cadres, especially party leaders at their respective levels, are obliged to oversee the decisions of the PDIP DPP. If not, the cadre is considered indisciplinary.

"Those who do not fight for the DPP PDI Perjuangan's decision and are not willing to guard, guard and win the candidate pairs recommended by the DPP, are categorized as having taken disciplinary actions, of course the party leadership will evaluate it," said Aswan, Wednesday, August 12.

He asked all party cadres to pay attention to party interests nationally. Cadres and administrators are asked to let go of their selfish ego.

"If this is not understood and accepted, the cadre should return the KTA (membership card)," said Aswan.
