BANDUNG - West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil became an impromptu driver for the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X (HB X) and his wife who visited Bandung City on Tuesday, December 7.

Ridwan Kamil and his wife Atalia Praratya Kamil invite Sri Sultan and Ratu Hemas to reminisce in the Flower City, Bandung. The arrival of Sri Sultan and Ratu Hemas in Bandung was a return visit after Ridwan Kamil visited Yogyakarta last week.

At that time, Ridwan Kamil promised to take Sri Sultan and Ratu Hemas to their second favorite place in Bandung.

The man who is familiarly called Kang Emil picked up Sri Sultan and Ratu Hemas by driving an electric car. The two then toured the city of Bandung and stopped at the Panaitan Chicken Restaurant for lunch.

The restaurant, which has been established since 1965, has a history for the Sultan and Ratu Hemas.

"Because my wife used to be a soldier, her job was in Bandung and she owned housing in the Cibeunying area. And that was past but everything has changed, maybe 50 years or so ago. That's why I used to come here often," said Sri Sultan.

"The taste of the chicken is not different, but the house is built differently. Yes, it means that sales are progressing," Sri Sultan said as quoted by Antara.

Ridwan Kamil admitted that he was impressed by the return visit from Sultan HB X to the city of Bandung and during his journey he received many nostalgic stories from both Sri Sultan and Ratu Hemas while living in Bandung.

"Yes, basically I become a driver. Hopefully according to the application," said Kang Emil.

Ridwan Kamil took Sri Sultan and Ratu Hemas on a tour of Cibeunying Park, Cihapit Park and Merdeka Building.

"Earlier, he used to like going to Gusti Ratu's house first. Because Ratu Hemas's parents used to work in Bandung before getting married. Now, Ngarso Dalem often sings, so earlier we went to Cibeunying Park, then we went to Cihapit Park, it turns out that Ratu Hemas used to often shopping on foot to Cihapit," said Kang Emil.
