Transportation Observers Hope DKI Governor Firmly Responds To Transjakarta

JAKARTA – Transportation Policy Observer, Azas Tigor Nainggolan urges the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to immediately take concrete steps related to the series of Transjakarta bus accidents that have often occurred recently.

"Almost every day there are Transjakarta bus accidents without any effort to improve the service to make it safe, comfortable and safe," said Azas Tigor Nainggolan to VOI, Monday, December 6.

Azas assessed that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government should immediately audit all Transjakarta directors and management.

"A thorough audit is due to the acute dilapidation of the directors and management of Transjakarta. For that, the Governor of Jakarta must conduct a thorough audit," he said.

If you look at the whole series of Transjakarta bus accidents, continued Azas, the Governor of DKI Jakarta should completely overhaul and replace all Transjakarta directors. According to Azas, if there is no safe, comfortable and secure service in Transjakarta services, the directors must be the first to take responsibility.

"Don't throw mistakes and bad work to operators, drivers or other people if Transjakarta services are unsafe, uncomfortable, unsafe and accidents keep happening," said Azas Tigor.

Azas also said that from the series of Transjakarga bus accidents, the driver did not work properly, indicating that operations were not being monitored. Accidents keep happening because the directors are not working to build a safe, comfortable and safe Transjakarta service.

"For this reason, the directors must take responsibility and must be replaced with better people so that Transjakarta services will be better in the future," he urged.

Previously, it was reported that the Transjakarta bus route Puri Beta - Blok M driven by a driver with the initials J was involved in a single accident crashing into an empty land next to the Puri Beta 2 bus stop, Larangan, Ciledug, Tangerang on Monday, December 6.

As a result of the accident, the TJ 402 bus suffered damage to the windshield cracked and the front bumper was broken and mangled. Luckily there were no casualties or injuries. The bus was also empty without passengers.
