This Construction BUMN Is Implementing Strict Health Protocols

JAKARTA - Activities in the project environment carried out by PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP) still have to run even though COVID-19 is still endemic in Indonesia. This is to encourage economic recovery and fulfill the daily needs of workers.

One of the important highlights in carrying out work in the midst of a pandemic is the health protocol implemented by the company. Construction BUMN and this provides several new policies in the work environment, one of which is by requiring a COVID-19-free certificate.

The President Director of PT PP, Novel Arsyad, said that the COVID-19-free certificate was intended for everyone, namely guests and migrants who would carry out activities in the work environment. The COVID-19 free letter was obtained from the results of a rapid test or PCR examination.

Arsyad explained that the inspection was accompanied by cleaning up the work environment. His party routinely sprayes disinfectants and conducts online inspections of all projects related to compliance with the COVID-19 protocol.

"Efforts to break the Covid-19 chain in the company and its project environment are also fulfilled by providing a place to wash hands or hand sanitizers, as well as checking body temperature before entering the work environment. All personnel who are active in or outside the PT PP environment are also required to wear masks. "Arsyad said in a written statement quoted on Thursday, August 13.

Arsyad said, preventing the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak must be seriously tackled together with all levels of society. In order to support government programs, the company has issued various policies that must be implemented and obeyed by all stakeholders.

"The company has also created an educational program related to COVID-19 by conducting live webinars and discussions (on social media)," he said.

Aryad added, the educational program is still running and being developed by the Company through PP TV. The socialization was also given to all elements starting from employees, customers, suppliers, partners and other stakeholders.

Regarding education, PT PP itself has launched the Covid Ranger PP icon. The Covid Ranger campaign is applied in all publication materials on social media, company websites, and posters. Covid Ranger PP also has a work program that is continuously being carried out and developed according to company needs.

"Until now, campaigns and outreach that have been carried out include health protocols, WFO-WFH-WFP, receipt and delivery of goods, ways of worshiping in the work environment, (activities during) new normal, and so on," he said.

Previously, Arsyad had also published a 'new normal' scenario as outlined in four regulatory protocols for work, namely Working From Office (WFO), Working From Home (WFH), Working From Project (WFP) and Mobilization & Transportation which were made with the aim of ensure that all company operating activities in offices, homes, projects, and subsidiaries and affiliates can run well and optimally. Until now, the protocol has been strictly implemented by the company.

PT PP has also issued 13 policies as outlined in the form of a Decree of the Company's Board of Directors to regulate the prevention of the spread of Covid-19. One of them was initiated by issuing a policy regarding Preparedness for the Spread of COVID-19 in the company's work environment in early March and was followed by a policy for the establishment of the Company's 'New Normal Task Force'.

It was noted that PT PP issued five protocols, two recommended units and five 'Task Force New Normal' memos.
