Police Say Perpetrators Of Abuse Of Mother's Birth To Death In Cengkareng Have Mental Disorders

JAKARTA - The perpetrator who molested his biological mother to death in Cengkareng, was declared to have a mental disorder. The results of the examination become a consideration for the police to take the next steps related to the legal process.

"The result is that the person concerned has a mental disorder," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Cengkareng Police, Iptu Bintang, to reporters, Monday, December 6.

Kanit further said that investigators are still waiting for directions from the prosecutor regarding the legal process of the case. Because, A already holds the status of a suspect.

"The filing is still ongoing while waiting for instructions from the prosecutor's office on what kind," he said.

Bintang said that after the suspect was proven to have a mental disorder, investigators could suspend the detention. Even so, the suspect is still in the custody of the Cengkareng Police.

"Still at the Polsek, waiting for the results of the coordination with the Grogol Mental Hospital," said Kanit.
