JAKARTA - Members of the Leadership Council of Pemuda Pancasila Branch (MPC PP) of Lumajang Regency moved quickly to assist the victims of the Mount Semeru eruption.

"MPC PP Lumajang Regency has sent logistical assistance containing mineral water, masks, food, suitable clothing, instant noodles, and others", said Secretary-General of National Leadership Council (MPN) Pemuda Pancasila Arif Rahman, in a written statement, Sunday, December 5.

Arif explained that the MPC PP of Lumajang Regency sent the aid using 1 truck and 1 pick-up car.

"The main aid post is in the Lumajang Regency Hall. MPC PP Lumajang has also opened a disaster post and a public kitchen", said Arif.

According to Arif, there are more than 100 Pemuda Pancasila cadres in Lumajang Regency who are actively helping the victims of the Mount Semeru eruption.

"They come from MPC 50 members, KOTI 30 members, PAC Tempeh 15 members, PAC Yosowilangun 10 members, PAC Candipuro 10 members", he explained.

Based on a report from the Health and Disaster Management Agency for the Leadership Council of Pemuda Pancasila Branch, Lumajang Regency, thousands of residents in Supiturang Village, Pronojiwo District, and Sumberwuluh Village, Candipuro District, Lumajang Regency, fled to the mosque and village office.

BPBD Lumajang uses a heavy wheel loader to open the Kobokan Bulk road access. Meanwhile, the access road to the refugee location is still covered by rain accompanied by ash.
