JAKARTA - Dozens of women involved in online prostitution in a rented house were secured by the Bekasi City Satpol PP while conducting a judicial operation in the Perumnas 1 area, Kayuringin Jaya, South Bekasi District, Bekasi City.

The discovery of this practice stems from reports of residents who feel restless because in their area there are young people who are involved in prostitution. Head of the Bekasi Satpol PP Regional Regulation Enforcement Head, Saut Hutajulu, explained that the mode of practice of prostitution was under the guise of a boarding house.

"There are some who are suspected of committing immoral acts, yes. It means selling themselves under the guise of boarding house residents," he said.

One boarding house turned out to contain women who used to peddle themselves via short message applications or online. There were 15 commercial sex workers (CSWs) and 2 perverted couples who were in action when they carried out the operation.

For them, the new officers will conduct data collection and coaching. In addition, they were also asked to sign a letter of agreement not to repeat their actions.
