Secretary General Of PDIP: DPLN Management Takes The Duty To Build An International Network

JAKARTA - PDI-P Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto said the PDIP Foreign Representative Council (DPLN) administrators who are in 11 countries and have been officially appointed have the important task of building an international network.

"How, brothers and sisters, build an international network so that the PDI-P in the future, we aspire to be able to hold conferences of political parties throughout Asia and Africa, even with Latin America," said Hasto Kristiyanto based on a written statement quoted by Antara, Saturday, December 4th.

He conveyed this when giving directions after inaugurating the DPLN board from the PDIP DPP office, Jakarta.

This task, he continued, is also in line with Ir Soekarno's idea to build the new emerging forces, namely a new force in fighting for independence, peace, and justice for the world. Even in the current conditions, added Hasto, the idea also includes justice for getting a vaccine.

"Therefore, this spirit is very important, DPLN must continue to fight like a leading statesman who develops intellectual leadership. Therefore, DPLN management must be part of the gate of progress," hoped Hasto.

In the inauguration ceremony which was also carried out in a hybrid manner, Hasto also explained the diplomatic tasks carried out by the DPLN administrators. The tasks include cultural diplomacy, culinary diplomacy, and tourism diplomacy.

In addition, he emphasized that the DPLN is also tasked with carrying out the function of policy socialization, the function of representation, and the function of capturing the aspirations of Indonesian citizens (WNI) abroad.

"The task of the DPLN is not solely to carry out party duties, member recruitment, political education, leadership regeneration, but also to carry out the function of policy socialization, the function of representation of bull cadres to continue to carry out political regeneration, and capture the aspirations of Indonesian citizens who are abroad," he added.

Hasto Kristiyanto then gave an example of the function of capturing the aspirations of Indonesian citizens that the DPLN administrators need to carry out in a country occupied by a large number of Indonesian workers (TKI). DPLN in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Malaysia should capture the aspirations of the TKI regarding labor issues that are often found there.
