Ganjar Reminds Business Challenge In Society 5.0 Era

SURAKARTA - Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo together with the Minister of Religion Yaqut Qolil Qoumas and a number of other figures attended the opening of the Majlis Tahkim or the 41st National Congress of the Islamic Society (SI) at the Novotel Hotel, Surakarta.

Ganjar reminded how the challenges of business and economy in the era of society 5.0 will come.

Ganjar in his speech said he was happy when he heard that SI would hold a congress in Surakarta. He did not explain how the joy could arise but imagined the new spirit that was born from the congress.

Moreover, the theme of returning to Laweyan seems to bring back memories of how SI was conceived and born in Surakarta, many great batik traders were born, until then the birth of prominent thinkers and movements from Central Java.

"If you can compare, those times (the beginning of SI) were exactly the same as today. Namely, a period of mental preparation, knowledge, and courage to enter society 5.0. That was a very big challenge," he said in a written statement, Saturday, December 4th.

To face future challenges, Ganjar said the existing batik industry must enter the 4.0 era. Meanwhile, the community must be able to enter society 5.0.

The competition is heavy and big, so technology must enter, new ways of trading must be done, and designs must invite young people again, so that competition for copyrighted works in the context of batik is growing rapidly.

"That's the speed that finally I can perform a batik style like the one I wear, really Solo, or the one used by Gus Minister (Yaqut) Lasem really. It's actually a very good show of works and cultural products," said Ganjar.

In addition, Ganjar also emphasized how SI targets to improve the Muslim economy. It becomes very contextual and is the answer to the needs of the people of today.

Especially when SI declared a return to khittoh preaching through the economy, of course by following the development of the times and technology.

"If all of that can be done, how powerful the impact will be. For example, in the future SI wants to assist MSMEs where these small business skills become world idols because they are quite independent in the economy, it's just a matter of how the facilities are provided," he said.
