COVID-19 Update As Of December 3: 245 New Cases From The Examination Of 283.063 Specimens

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) released the latest additional positive cases of COVID-19 as of today. A total of 283.063 specimens were examined with the result that there were 245 new positive cases of COVID-19.

"The total accumulation of positive cases since COVID-19 was discovered in Indonesia has reached 4.257.243 people and 7.705 active cases," said Ministry of Health data, Friday, December 3.

Today's recovered cases increased by 328 cases, bringing the total to 4.105.680 recovered people. Then, the positive confirmed cases who died increased by 8 people and a total of 143.858 people.

The province with the newest cases is DKI Jakarta with 42 cases and a total of 864.087 cases. Followed by West Java with 30 new cases with a total of 707.967 cases. East Nusa Tenggara has 27 new cases and a total of 64.062 cases. Then, DI Yogyakarta with 25 new cases and a total of 156.794 cases.

The province with the most recovered cases today belongs to DKI Jakarta with an additional 68 recovered cases. Followed by West Java with an increase of 41 recovered cases, Riau with an additional 39 recovered cases, and Central Java with an additional 35 recovered cases.

There are 11 provinces that reported no new cases today, namely Jambi, Bengkulu, Risu Islands, Central Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, North Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, Gorontalo, Maluku, North Maluku and Papua. In addition, the number of specimens that have been examined using RT-PCR, TCM, and antigens reached 55.321.140.

"Positive results per number of people examined or the positivity rate of people this week is 0.20 percent," he wrote.

The number of people suspected of contracting COVID-19 or currently categorized as suspected cases is 5,445 people. Currently, 34 provinces have had cases of COVID-19.

To date, 141,503,092 people have received the first dose of COVID-19 vaccination and 98,046,834 people have received the second dose of vaccination.

While the third dose of vaccination was 1,242,242. Meanwhile, the target for vaccination in Indonesia is 208,265,720 people.
