Fadel Muhammad, Who Asked For The Removal Of The Minister Of Finance Sri Mulyani, Had Almost IDR 100 Billion In Assets And Had No Debt

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the MPR RI Fadel Muhammad asked Finance Minister Sri Mulyani to be replaced. This request needs to be considered by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) because he often cuts the budget. Even though at first it was due to Sri Mulyani who several times did not attend meeting invitations.

This statement then became the spotlight.

Then, how much wealth is owned by Fadel Muhammad who is the Deputy Chair of the MPR RI from the DPD RI element?

Based on the State Administrators Wealth Report (LHKPN) which was reported to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as of March 12, Fadel is recorded to have assets of up to IDR 98,594,459,910 and has no debt.

In his report, he did not register the ownership of a motorized vehicle. However, Fadel owns eight land and buildings in South Jakarta and Bogor, West Java with a value of Rp. 41,745,650,000.

Furthermore, he was recorded as having other movable assets worth Rp.958,950,000; securities valued at Rp41,375,407,772; and cash equivalents of Rp14,514,452,138.

Previously reported, Fadel Muhammad admitted that he was annoyed with Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani who often cut the budget. He also mentioned that many people were disappointed with the performance of the finance minister for the two periods.

Thus, he feels the urge to remove Sri Mulyani from her position is something that President Jokowi needs to consider. Moreover, Srimul is considered not to have a good work program and policies in stabilizing state finances.

In addition, Fadel also admitted that he had received many reports from ministers who complained about Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani in managing state finances.

"There are some friends who also conveyed the conflict, the conflict between the minister and the finance minister is very sharp in the current cabinet. They all conveyed and all those present were the leaders of political parties," said Fadel.

"This is all we ask for the president to stop removing the minister of finance because he is not competent in regulating existing government policies," he said.
