Minister Of Religion Yaqut Orders His Men To Be Exemplary Core Values Of AKHLAK Set By Jokowi

JAKARTA - Minister of Religion Yaqut Cholil Qoumas instructed his subordinates in the ministry to be able to become role models in practicing

the core value of AKHLAK set by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

"The Ministry of Religion must be an example in implementing the core value of ASN, namely AKHLAK," Yaqut said in a written statement received in Jakarta, Antara, Wednesday, December 1.

AKHLAK has been established by President Joko Widodo as the core value and employer branding of ASN along with the slogan "Proud to Serve the Nation". AKHLAK is an acronym for Accountable, Competent, Harmonious, Loyal, Adaptive, and Collaborative.

The Minister of Religion mentioned the importance of practicing integrity and an anti-corruption culture in the value of accountability. The Ministry of Religion continues to strengthen in the form of implementing the gratification control program (PPG) and the integrated Whistleblowing System (complaints of alleged corruption).

"The Ministry of Religion has established a Gratification Control Unit (UPG) whose role is to control the receipt of gratification in a transparent and accountable manner," he said.

According to him, the Ministry of Religion and the KPK have synergized by building an integrated Public Complaint System (Dumas) and Whistleblowing System (WBS).

This synergy aims to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of handling complaints, both internally and externally, which is integrated, professional, transparent, accountable by prioritizing confidentiality for the sake of eradicating corruption within the Ministry of Religion.

Another effort made by the Ministry of Religion in controlling gratification, he said, was by revising the Regulation of the Minister of Religion (PMA) Number 34 of 2019 concerning Gratification Control at the Ministry of Religion. This regulation has been revoked and replaced with PMA Number 23 of 2021 concerning Gratification Control at the Ministry of Religion.

"PMA 23/2021 fully refers to KPK Regulation No. 2 of 2019 concerning Gratification Reporting," said the Minister of Religion.

Meanwhile, the Inspector General of the Ministry of Religion, Deni Suardini, said that as the commander of the Government Internal Supervision Apparatus (APIP), his party continues to improve the integrity and culture of anti-corruption, including by collaborating with the KPK.

"So far, we have continued to improve, by continuing to work with the KPK to create a Ministry of Religion with integrity and anti-corruption," said Deni.
