Up In Arms! KPK Finds IDR 10 Billion Fund At Anies Baswedan's House For MUI, Really?

JAKARTA - An information via Facebook social media caused a stir because it stated that the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) managed to find a flow of grant funds of Rp. 10 billion at the house of the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan.

In the title of the video uploaded by the @Pengawal Jokowi 3 Period account it is written, "LATEST NEWS ~ Kpk Succeeded in Finding a Flow of 10 M Grants at Anies' House."

The Rp10 billion grant was earmarked for MUI to create a Cyber Army Team with the task of defending ulama and Anies from cyber attacks.

So, is this information true?

Upon further investigation, the claim was false. In fact, there is no credible information regarding the KPK's findings which found a flow of 10 billion in grant funds at Anies Baswedan's house.

Reporting from turnbachoax, the DKI Jakarta MUI also denied the claim of creating a Cyber Army Team assigned to defend ulama and Anies Baswedan from cyber attacks.

Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Ahmad Riza Patria emphasized that the grant funds provided through the DKI Jakarta Bureau of Education and Mental Spirituality to MUI DKI Jakarta had nothing to do with the formation of the Cyber Army.

"Similar hoaxes circulated in mid-October and were discussed in the Turn Back Hoaks article entitled "[FALSE] After 8 Hours of Investigation, KPK Found Trillions of Money in the Secret House of Mr. Gub,"

"Thus, the KPK's claim to have found a flow of Rp10 billion in grant funds at Anies Baswedan's house is a hoax with misleading content categories," said the turnbackhoax.
