Bobby Nasution Describes Investment Opportunities For Japanese Companies In Medan

MEDAN - Mayor of Meda Bobby Nasution explained a number of development sectors that could become investment opportunities for Japanese companies in Medan City.

"This is also our focus on improving the economy in Medan City, including how we invite investors to Medan City," said Bobby Nasution in Medan, quoted by Antara, Monday, November 29.

He emphasized this after opening "Medan Business & Investment" which was held by the Indonesia-Japan business network (IJBNet) presenting the Japanese Consul General in Medan Takonai Susumu and several related officials virtually.

Among them, continued Bobby Nasution, are the construction of a "convention center", the construction of a "waterfront city" Belawan, the Belawan creative economy village, the Belawan, and Seruai industrial areas, and the Medan zoo.

The mayor of Medan also mentioned the handling of waste problems, environmentally-friendly transportation, public service malls, the development of dr Pirngadi Hospital Medan, and others.

The revitalization of the Warenhuis business center and cultural heritage building, the revitalization of the Lili Suheri Park, parking buildings, and the application of information technology as a "smart city".

"Through this forum, it is hoped that investment activities can be continued, so that it will not only become a behind-the-desk forum," said Bobby Nasution.

The Japanese Consul General in Medan, Takonai Susumu, admitted that Japanese companies have been doing business in Indonesia for years with a large investment value and absorbing a lot of workers.

That way, he said, Japanese companies have contributed to supporting the economy and empowering people in Indonesia.

"I hope that the economic relations that have been closely intertwined so far can continue to be developed," said Takonai.
